The Chilean territory is located in the southwest area of South America. AvocadoChile has more than 30,000 hectares of avocado trees within its central valley. Due to its unique climate conditions, mild weather, distinct seasons, moderate rain, pure air and fertile lands the Chilean avocado is being recognized worldwide as a premium quality product demanded by several countries. The Hass variety makes up 85% of all avocados grown in the country.
The Chilean avocado is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids, natural antioxidants, minerals and vitamins (it contains 12 of the 13 existing vitamins). It also has a highly nutritious value as a fresh fruit. The avocado is becoming more popular worldwide, generating an increasing demand in international markets.
